Hello!

 

My name is Brandon Barker. I'm a scenic artist from metro-Detroit, currently living and working in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. 

 

In my education: I attended Cobalt Studios' Scenic Artist Training Program (two year program), where I studied under industry legend Rachel Keebler, and earned a certificate equivalent to an MFA in Scenic Art. I am also a graduate of Michigan State University (BFA in Design), where I focused in scenic art and scenic design.

I currently work as the Charge Scenic Artist at Charleston Stage Company, in Charleston, South Carolina.

 

I have worked primarily as a scenic artist and/or charge artist, but have also have experience as a scenic designer, props master/fabricator, stagecraft carpenter, costume technician, and electrician. All of which has afforded me a well-rounded experience in most areas of technical theatre, but my heart lies in scenic art!
